Step-by-Step
Our trained technicians follow a strict procedure to ensure each flexitank is properly fitted inside the container, meeting all compliance and safety standards.
Stringent container selection criteria applied. The 20ft shipping container is inspected for structural integrity, cleanliness, and absence of damage, sharp edges, or protruding nails that could puncture the flexitank.
Corrugated paper and protective lining is laid on the container floor and walls to create a cushion barrier, preventing abrasion and protecting the flexitank during transit.
Steel restraint bars are positioned across the container door end. These bars serve as structural support for the bulkhead and prevent the flexitank from surging against the doors during transport.
The bulkhead is installed at the door end of the container, secured against the steel bars. Each bulkhead carries a unique serial number, manufacturer name, and COA reference number for traceability.
The flexitank bladder is carefully unfolded and positioned inside the container on top of the protective lining. The valve and air vent connections are routed through the bulkhead opening.
The ball valve and connections are securely tightened and inspected. The anti-suction valve flange design is verified. A door warning label is applied and MSDS documentation is provided to the operator.

Loading & Discharge
Once the flexitank is fitted, the loading process follows strict compliance with tank capacities and loading tolerances to ensure safe transport of your liquid cargo.
Verify that the fitted flexitank, bulkhead, and all connections are secure. Confirm cargo and flexitank compatibility. Check that the valve is closed and the air vent (if applicable) is in position. Ensure MSDS documentation is on hand.
Connect the loading hose to the flexitank ball valve. The pump from the storage tank or tanker is engaged. All connections are double-checked for leak-proof sealing before starting the flow.
Liquid cargo is pumped into the flexitank at a controlled flow rate. Strict compliance with tank capacities and loading tolerances is maintained. The patented air vent allows trapped air to escape, ensuring full and even filling from 16,000 to 24,000 litres.
Throughout loading, the technician monitors flow rate, volume, and tank expansion. The flexitank must not exceed the rated capacity. A flow meter or weigh scale confirms the precise volume loaded.
Once loading is complete, the ball valve is securely closed and capped. All connections are disconnected and sealed. The unique serial number and COA test number are recorded and supplied to shipping lines.
The container doors are carefully closed and sealed. A door warning label alerts handlers to the liquid cargo. Documentation including MSDS, COA reference, and insurance certificate (US $5 Million cover) accompanies the shipment.
LET specially designed heating pads fit under the flexitank to evenly reheat the cargo before unloading. Both steam heating pads and electric heater pads are available on request, ensuring viscous liquids can be safely and efficiently discharged.
